Marvin Hinman - Vocals Share your musical history and influences: My mother was a big influence on me. She was quite talented and I figured if she could do it, so could I. Watching and listening to her was inspiring, and led me to pursue my own musical aspirations. Some of my influences include Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, The Cure, Elvis, The Doors, and many others - too many to name them all. Explain the events that led you to Empire Day: That's a tough Question. Beginning with Eric and Rich. Eric and I began way back in an earlier incarnation that led to several different formations and group members before we finally settled on the current lineup. Favorite Song: Whatever I happen to be listening to at the moment. Current Favorite - Killing Moon by Echo and the Bunnymen. Current favorite modern song - Fly by Empire Day. Favorite Movie: Valley Girl and The Matrix Favorite Musician: Simon LeBon and Dave Gahan Favorite Fashion: Whatever I have on! |

Where do you see yourself and Empire Day in the future: On tour promoting a great album. Favorite Food and Drink: Mexican Food - Gin and Tonic Favorite Color: Green Black and Blue Do you shave your armpits? What is that I see under there?: No comment. Favorite Sport: Football Anything else you'd like the world to know?: I feel that Empire Day is quite different from a lot of bands that are out there now. Chicago has only had a taste of Empire Day - I could see Empire Day easily building quite a following and being quite popular on a large scale. To all the other local musicians - it's hard work. We're sticking with it and so should you. We look forward to playing with you all soon.
